When needed, surgical interventions, cardiac catheterization, and imaging (such as MRIs) are provided at NY Presbyterian and Cohen Children’s Medical Center by an expert team of surgeons and physicians. Dr. Dhuper’s team will handle making arrangements, the referral process, and follow ups.

Dr. Dhuper is a board certified Pediatric Cardiologist and is also board certified in Pediatrics and Obesity Medicine. A passionate clinician, educator, and social entrepreneur, Dr. Dhuper was the director of pediatric cardiology at Brookdale University Hospital from 1997-2017 and is currently the director of Pediatric Cardiology at SUNY Downstate Hospital and a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at SUNY Health Science Center of Brooklyn.
Dr. Dhuper founded Live Light Live Right in 2003. Under her direction, the organization received funding from the Robin Hood Foundation for 12 years. It has won numerous awards and received recognition for its work in the fight against childhood obesity.

Dr. Dhuper has a clinical practice in Crown Heights, Brooklyn and also works out of SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. She is a network cardiologist for NY Presbyterian Health Care System and Long Island Jewish Medical Center (Cohen Children’s Medical Center).

Dr. Dhuper’s research interests revolve around obesity-related cardiovascular risk, lipid disorder, metabolic syndrome, exercise physiology, and echocardiographic studies of diastolic function in obesity and other related cardiac conditions.
